Practical information

Before, during and after an at-home visit

What DocFdar does, what the doctor may decide, and when emergency or hospital care is needed.

Life-threatening emergency: call SAMU on 141

For chest pain, difficulty breathing, loss of consciousness, a severe allergic reaction or any other warning sign, a home visit does not replace emergency services.

Call 141

How a visit request works

1. Request and phone assessment

During the call, the DocFdar team takes the reason, address and necessary contact details. The team confirms whether a home visit may be considered and gives an estimated time subject to availability.

2. Doctor identity

Consultations are provided by licensed doctors. You may ask for the doctor's identity and relevant professional information before confirming the visit.

3. At-home consultation

The doctor performs the examination possible with the resources available at home, explains the findings and decides which advice, documents or care are medically indicated.

4. Referral to hospital care when needed

If, after the examination, the doctor determines that hospital care is needed, they explain this and direct you to the appropriate facility or service.

Limits of an at-home consultation

A home visit does not replace emergency services, a hospital emergency department, or tests and treatments that require hospital-level equipment. Suitability is assessed case by case.

Limit the data you send

The site has no patient form. On WhatsApp, do not send medical records, photos of health documents or other sensitive data; use a phone call to explain the request.
